OXYGEN MEDIA ELEVATES MATTHEW JARECKITO VICE PRESIDENT OF ADVERTISING SALES
NEW YORK – January 31, 2013 – Oxygen Media has promoted Matthew Jarecki to Vice President, Advertising Sales. In this new role, Jarecki will be responsible for generating and expanding national advertising sales revenue for the Northeast, with a focus on integrated marketing and multiplatform ad sales partnerships. He will work closely with the Account Executive team as well as clients and agencies to deliver multi-dimensional deals and provide brands with an exclusive level of exposure through cross-platform integrations. Based in New York, he will report to Susan Malfa, Senior Vice President, Ad Sales for Bravo Media, Oxygen Media, Style Media and Women At NBCU.
Malfa commented, “With his strong client relationships and knowledge of the advertising industry, Matthew is a vital asset to our growing network as Madison Avenue is taking notice of our unique multimedia partnership offerings and coveted young female audience.”
Most recently, Jarecki oversaw and engineered a key integrated sponsorship with Marshalls for the eagerly anticipated new supermodel competition series “The Face,” premiering Tuesday, February 12 at 9pm ET/PT. The aspiring hopefuls will have access to the Marshalls Accessory Wall featuring the best accessories ranging from scarves and hats to shoes, belts and designer handbags during a Test Shoot challenge where one winner receives a $5,000 Marshalls gift card. Marshalls Brand Ambassador and self-proclaimed ‘super-fan’ of Marshalls, celebrity stylist Jenn Rade, will serve as judge for the Campaign challenge where the models compete to create a Spring Dress ‘Look Book’ for Marshalls.
Prior to joining Oxygen in April 2012 as Director, Ad Sales, Jarecki worked with Turner Broadcasting over a span of 12 years, where he went from Sales Planner to Account Executive and represented growth brands including Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and truTV.
Previously, Jarecki held posts at Scripps Networks for more than six years, where he cultivated the ad sales side of a young Food Network as well as Fine Living. With a career start on the agency side of the business, Jarecki’s first job was with Foote, Cone & Belding.
